It has now become mandatory for all the non-domestic premises to carry out a Fire Risk Assessment in accordance with The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005.
These regulations apply in different ways to different building types and much advice has been produced since the publication of the RRO clarifying the different processes.
The OSH (Occupational Health & Safety – Directive 89/391 EEC) Framework adopted in 1989 has further introduced the objective measures to encourage improvements in the safety and health of workers at work

Fire demands three things:
- Heat (source of ignition)
